Coarsely grind coffee beans and peppercorns in a food processor or coffee grinder. Press the mixture evenly on both sides of the steak along with kosher salt. Note: use the seasoning to taste. One does not have to use all of the seasoning.
Lightly brush the cooking grate with vegetable oil. Grill the steak directly over high heat. Turn as required to not char the steak. Grill to desired doneness. The steak is best when cooked rare or medium rare.
Remove steak from the grill. Allow to rest 2 to 3 minutes before servng. Slice steak thin against the grain.
